Privacy Policy

1. The Basics

TKU Chronicle operates a referral service that links Canadian borrowers with licensed third-party lenders. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle the personal information collected through our website. It is provided as a sample document for this demonstration project and should be replaced with policy language reviewed by qualified counsel before any live use.

2. Information We Gather

To connect you with lenders, we may collect the following categories of information:

• Contact information — your name, email address, and phone number
• Financial information — your income, pay frequency, and banking details
• Identity information — details used to confirm your eligibility
• Technical information — your IP address, device, and browsing activity

3. Why We Use It

We use the information you provide to match your request with licensed lenders, to operate and improve our website, and to satisfy our legal obligations. Your application details are shared only with lenders able to serve your province.

4. Passing Details to Lenders

By submitting a request, you authorize us to transmit your information to one or more licensed lenders. Each lender applies its own privacy practices, so we recommend reviewing them before you accept an offer.

5. Keeping Your Data Safe

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and contractual limits. You may also opt out of marketing messages at any time.
